WP 4 uses cohort data combined with data from large-scale European longitudinal studies to estimate how variations across cities in mental health and cognitive outcomes relate to urban environments, and how they impact on co-morbidities.
Objectives
- To assess geographical variation in levels of mental health and cognitive outcomes between and within European cities using survey data with detailed assessments
- To examine the extent to which prevalence and levels of mental health and cognitive outcomes are associated with macro-level (city-wide) and micro-level (within city small areas) urban characteristics
- To assess whether geographical distribution of mental health outcomes and impaired cognition is associated with distribution of co-morbidity rates and mortality rates.
