Prospective cohort studies are a leading source of information in research on understanding health inequalities at the individual and neighbourhood level. MINDMAP aims at bringing cohort studies together across and even outside Europe. The CLOSER conference was an excellent opportunities to learn from research conducted with the British cohort studies, and to disseminate the possibilities MINDMAP will offer in the next years for this purpose.
